ABHoM Arrives (at last)…
17/11/2010Well, it’s out there now. My show, ‘A Brief History of Music‘ (ABHoM) is now available on GeekPlanet Online, and will be on iTunes sometime tomorrow. I’m happy, and nervous, and a little-bit sleepy, but at least I did it.
ABHoM is my attempt to create a ‘show’, rather than a traditional podcast. The standard podcast format involves two (or more) people chatting about a subject, with some tangents thrown in for good measure. There’s nothing wrong with that, hell! I do a show just like that (Appytimes), but I think there’s still room for other formats.
Danny Davies’ ‘A Disappointment’ was a big kick in the pants for me, it proved that a structured comedy podcast could be a viable alternative, and that imagination was the only limitation. So I gave it a go.
I don’t know if it will be a success, or even how you would judge a ‘success’ in podcast terms, but it makes me laugh. You can find it here or listen to it in the player below.
